About
The right to education is regarded as universal, yet across the world children, especially the girl child, continue to be denied their rights to quality education. In Sierra Leone, a gender gap in education is prevalent, especially from secondary school onwards where lower levels of female participation are recorded, due in part to forms of violence and discrimination directed against girls. This situation is in turn perpetuating a vicious cycle of poverty and gender inequality from generation to generation. To combat this, we are reaching out to the world to help accelerate Girls' Education in Sierra Leone.
