Across the country, people like you and I are stuck at home, feeling both helpless and the need to help. Social distancing is working, but we can do more. In the coming weeks a majority of Americans will receive a stimulus check to help pay rent, shop for food, and support local businesses during the COVID19 pandemic. However, some of us are in stable financial situations and don't need that money right now. We have the opportunity to redirect these funds in order to support members of our community who may not be so fortunate. If you can, please pledge your check (or part of it) in order to provide food, supplies, and services to those who need it most. Food Bank of Central New York

Food Bank of Central New York is a not-for-profit organization working to eliminate hunger through nutritious food distribution, education, and advocacy in cooperation with the community. During the COVID19 pandemic, Food Bank of CNY will continue these efforts and work to help the community as this progresses. Food Bank of Central New York is working to prepare for the next phase of crisis operations as we deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.

"That work includes packing boxes of non-perishable food items into emergency disaster boxes. If and when food pantries close in large numbers, and there is a growing unmet need in the community we serve, we will begin direct mass distributions of the emergency food boxes to families and individuals in need."
