Food Lifeline
Every year ~40% of the food in America ends up in the trash, and every day we have people in our community that are starving. Food Lifeline is actively working to combat this issue in our community. They rescue food from farmers, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. and, with the help of volunteers, distribute the food to over 300 food banks/shelters/meal programs in Western Washington.
Food Lifeline relies heavily on the help of volunteers to make sure food is doesn't go to waste and is efficiently distributed throughout the community. Private philanthropy will be essential to fund their ongoing operations, enabling Food Lifeline to stay strong, stable and capable of delivering food relief to the community throughout this response.
