Black Public Media
Black Public Media (BPM), formerly known as National Black Programming Consortium develops, produces, funds, and distributes media content about the African American and global Black experience. Our mission is to commit to a fully realized expression of democracy and we accomplish this by supporting diverse voices through training, education, and investment in visionary content makers.
Black Women Photographers Foundation Inc
Established in July 2020 by Polly Irũngũ, Black Women Photographers (BWP) is a global community, directory, and hub of over 2,100 Black and African creatives, spanning over 60+ countries and 35+ U.S. states. The collective offers free educational resources such as regular programming of virtual and in-person events, webinars, workshops, trainings, conferences, meet ups, and exhibitions. BWP supports its members through an annual $50K grant fund, donating free equipment, providing free portfolio reviews, and promoting their work in an active database distributed to brands, photo editors, directors, curators, art buyers, and industry gatekeepers. BWP is dedicated to mentoring visual artists at all stages of development, with the aim to increase access to professional and paid opportunities.
