World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is celebrated annually on the 21st of March and is a global awareness day that has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. To celebrate and raise awareness your Ireland and Egypt Community are hosting a very special event live from Kavanagh Canteen in Cork, at 12pm on March 22, 2023. As part of this event we invite our colleagues to make donations to this fund which will be equally distributed to 3 chosen Non-Profits supporting children and adults with Down syndrome locally and internationally

Down Syndrome Ireland offers information, practical help and support. Most of all, we are a community of people who share the same journey.
Down Syndrome Ireland has 25 branches nationwide. These branches are run almost exclusively by volunteer parents and provide children and adults with Down syndrome and their families with a wide range of vital services and social opportunities.

The Down Syndrome Centre Cork Company Limited by Guarantee

The Down syndrome Centre Cork provides vital intervention services to young children with Down syndrome and their families such as occupational therapy (OT), speech and language therapy (SLT), an early intervention programme - SKIP, and parent and baby classes.
