Multiple other Caribbean nations are also at risk as the storm moves through the region in the coming days. The Board of Directors of the American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) has announced the establishment of a $1 Million Matching Fund to support critical relief and recovery efforts in Jamaica following the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa. This fund, created and underwritten by AFJ’s Board of Directors, will match dollar-for-dollar all donations made through the organization’s official donation channels. Donors who contribute via corporate matching gift programs are especially encouraged to participate, as these contributions will also be eligible for the match.
