WHO INCUR EXTRAORDINARY EXPENSES, DAMAGES OR LOSSES AS THE RESULT OF DISASTER OR EMERGENCY HARDSHIP SITUATIONS. THE FUND HAS BEEN AND WILL ONLY BE PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF REPUBLIC SERVICES, INC. OR THEIR IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS WHO ARE VICTIMS OF DISASTERS OR OTHER EMERGENCY HARDSHIPS. ALL OF THE DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS OF THE FUND ARE EMPLOYEES AND/OR OFFICERS OR DIRECTORS OF REPUBLIC SERVICES, INC., FORMERLY ALLIED WASTE INDUSTRIES, INC. SINCE ALL OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS OF THE FUND SHARE EMPLOYMENT THROUGH REPUBLIC SERVICES, INC. QUESTION 2 OF SECTION A OF PART VI OF FORM 990 HAS BEEN ANSWERED YES, EVEN THOUGH NONE OF THE OFFICERS OR DIRECTORS RECEIVE ANY COMPENSATION FROM THE FUND ITSELF.
