Hi Women@! As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, Women@Shutterstock is excited to organize the second annual virtual Women@Walkathon to raise money and awareness for breast cancer survivors. It’s a great way to get engaged and give back, and everyone is invited to participate! Here is how it’ll work: 1. The Walkathon will be live from October 12 - November 8 and will be a fully virtual event. You can walk in a park, on the sidewalk, on a treadmill…really anywhere that works for you! 2. Choose a distance to walk (or run!) —1 mile, 5K, 10K or more if you’d like! 3. Take a picture of yourself during your walk/run or after you’ve finished, and upload it to @erg_women on Slack. Please include a quick sentence or two about why you participated—for research, in honor of a friend or family member, or any other reason. 4. For every photo submitted during the month of October, Women@Shutterstock will donate $100 (up to $3,000) to our Women@Walkathon Fund on Bright Funds! To kick things off, Women@Shutterstock is making a $1,000 contribution to our Walkathon fund, which benefits Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The Pink Agenda. Please consider making a donation of any size—every dollar counts!
