Sahel Crisis Relief Fund

Sahel Crisis Relief Fund
The Sahel refers to Burkina Faso, northern Cameroon (Far North region), Chad, Mali, Niger, and north-east Nigeria (Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States). Food insecurity and nutrition figures also include Mauritania and Senegal. The Sahel faces deeply rooted humanitarian challenges, with almost 29 million people urgently needing life-saving aid and protection support — that’s 5 million more people than last year. Security incidents, attacks, and kidnappings are a daily reality for millions of civilians and humanitarian workers in the field. Without sufficient resources for humanitarian response, the crisis risks further escalating, eroding communities’ resilience and putting even millions of children, women, and men at risk. Your donation will help us reach the most vulnerable with life-saving aid such as food, shelter, health, and protection services. Please help us provide them with the assistance they needConflict is the primary driver of increased needs; the region is a hotspot of climate change, and people struggle to access food—large-scale displacement further strains already fragile services, such as health care, education, and stressed natural resources. Let's help Stefcho walk again Fund
https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100089984340451 This is Stefan, who is 7 years old and should be in first grade this fall. As a result of a car accident, Stefcho is completely immobilized from the chest down. Regardless of the difficulties he is going through, Stefcho is smiling in all the photos, making efforts and fighting daily for the opportunity to walk again. There is a chance for recovery and a chance for Stefcho to walk again, but it all depends on his family being able to provide him with daily, intensive, specialized rehabilitation, as well as prostheses and a stabilizing chair so he can go to school. At the moment it is clear that there are specialized clinics in Germany, Slovakia and Israel that have equipment and specialists suitable for Stefan's condition. The offer from Germany is for EUR 30,000 for one 6-week session. The child will need four such sessions annually to restore his spine. These are only part of the costs, as they do not include the transport and stay during Stefcho's rehabilitation abroad. Special leg prostheses worth BGN 1,300 have already been ordered to keep the joints straight and avoid contractures and complications. It is necessary to order two more types of prostheses with which he can be straightened in stages - they will cost over 30,000 BGN. The chair we mentioned is between 2,000 and 4,000 BGN. Some of the orthoses need to be replaced at 6 months as Stefcho grows every day. His family is unable to cover these financial needs and they need help to see their child walk again. Please, support this little hero!
Cancer Care & Research Fund

Cancer Care & Research Fund
Cancer poses a formidable global challenge to public health. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it stands as the second leading cause of death worldwide, claiming an estimated 9.6 million lives in 2018. Beyond its grim mortality statistics, cancer emerges as a significant source of morbidity, inflicting profound physical, emotional, and social suffering upon patients and their families. Furthermore, the impact of cancer extends far beyond individual health, exerting substantial repercussions on both the economy and society as a whole. It leads to soaring healthcare costs, decreased productivity, and a diminished quality of life. Additionally, it exacerbates existing societal inequalities, disproportionately affecting individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. This distressing reality is rooted in factors such as unequal access to healthcare, substandard living conditions, and inadequate awareness of preventive measures and screening protocols. Given the profound and multifaceted nature of cancer's impact on individuals, families, and communities, it remains imperative to uphold our dedication to initiatives aimed at cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment. This involves the promotion of healthier lifestyles, the expansion of access to cancer screening and treatment services, and substantial investments in cancer research to pioneer innovative and more effective treatment modalities. We kindly request your support for this noble cause through your generous donation.

East Africa Hunger Relief Fund
Across East Africa, millions of people are facing famine. A climate-crisis-induced drought, coupled with regional and local conflict, impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, and soaring food prices tied to the war in Ukraine, is creating a dire situation. Over 20 million people across several East African nations, including Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan, are at risk of starvation. According to the World Food Programme (WFP), “A record 349 million people across 79 countries are facing acute food insecurity – up from 287 million in 2021. More than 900,000 people worldwide are fighting to survive in famine-like conditions.” In 2023, there will likely be insufficient food in the system, which will push global food prices higher. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine contributes to the rise in hunger, with less wealthy countries particularly vulnerable, including those in the Horn of Africa. We have created this fund to support weak, marginalized, and at-risk groups to prevent and address hunger and malnutrition, build resilience to current and future climate-related drought and food insecurity, and focus on longer-term solutions to help them recover.
